I'M A WRITER + BRAND STORYTELLER
based in NYC
a mind for strategy. a NOSE FOR NEWS.
a little about me...
My first story was published when I was seven years old.
I use “published” generously to describe the newspaper I produced on my mom’s electronic typewriter. Always a multi-faceted writer, I was covering everything from the local weather to the crime beat (the Teddy Bear Killer was quite the menace to plush residents of my hometown). I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, and though I got derailed and spent several years working on the dark side, aka PR (god bless my agency friends who are still at it!), 2020 gave me a chance to return to my true love and take a more polished approach to my journalistic endeavors.
With a foundation in journalism (UF J-school reporting class survivor 🙋🏾♀️), too many head-spinning years in PR agencies, and now a certification from Pratt in User Experience, I bring a decade of top-to-bottom creative communications experience to my storytelling approach. I’m passionate about translating my background in strategic campaign development, creative ideation, and content creation into authentic storytelling that informs and inspires.
On a personal note, I spend a lot of time cuddling my dog Banksy, drinking coffee, indulging in true crime stories, or self-soothing in the form of creating spreadsheets/itineraries/mood boards for future adventures and current projects (Virgo much?!).
So, what’s your story?
look what i can do!
Ghostwriting? You got it. Website copy? I'm your girl. Branded content? All me!
From reporting on the latest trends in national outlets to crafting witty captions for social media, I've done it all. Writing was my first love and I'm always down to help craft your message.

"Raven is what I call my ‘creative godmother.’
Beyond being professional, courteous and media savvy, Raven is goal-driven and understands what it takes to make it past the finish line. She is an extremely talented powerhouse and I am a better professional today because of her – her passion and expertise are truly invaluable."

2019 - PRESENT
This past year, I've decided to take my PR experience and turn it on its head. Now, I'm playing on the other side of the media field, in the wonderful world of freelance. I specialize in service journalism that covers travel, F&B, and weddings and I help brands build messaging that resonates with their audience.
2019 - 2020
PARASOL MARKETING GROUP
I led a small team of PR pros and marketing mavens in NYC working on some of the most luxurious hospitality brands in the world such as One&Only Resorts, Baglioni Hotels, and Baha Mar. We specialized in high-level national media and major brand partnerships.
2017 - 2019
BREAD & BUTTER PR
I opened and ran B&B's first Miami office, brought in new biz that included some of Miami's most popular restaurants including KYU, La Petite Maison and Estiatorio Milos.
2013 - 2017
This is where I cut my teeth in PR. I started from an intern and worked my way up to an account supervisor working on a little bit of everything along the way. I did PR for fashion brands (Adolfo Dominguez, Miami Fashion Week), design studios (Boffi), events (Style Saves, Storybooked by Marriott), hotels (W South Beach), restaurants (Zuma Miami) and CPG (Cervezas Alhambra).
