With a foundation in journalism (UF J-school survivor 🙋🏾‍♀️), many head-spinning years in PR agencies, and certification from Pratt in User Experience, I bring a decade of top-to-bottom communications experience to my storytelling approach.

 

During the pandemic, I decided to take my PR experience and turn it on its head. I started playing on the other side of the media field, in the wonderful world of freelance and then on-staff as an editor at Domino. I specialized in service journalism focused on hotels, design, F&B, and Black culture, and I consulted brands on building info-rich, inspiring messaging that resonates with their audience to inform and inspire.

 

After spending a few years in the newsroom and on the receiving end of endless PR pitches, I learned A LOT about what really sticks and what doesn't. In 2024, I decided to take my refreshed perspective back to PR on a mission to bridge the gap between the publicists, the clients, and the media. A reformed publicist, if you will.

On a personal note, I spend a lot of time cuddling my dog Banksy, drinking too much coffee, indulging in true crime stories, or self-soothing by creating spreadsheets of whatever I deem unorganized in my life (claaassic Virgo, am I right?).
